If you're new here, welcome! We're excited to have you!
For those who have never heard of this event, it is a crafting retreat day to work on your own craft projects while engaging in fellowship with other crafters.
Traditionally "Crop" is a scrapbooking event, born from the spirit of crazy scrapbookers who thought it would be a good idea to load up their luggage, sagging with tools and supplies, to come together to compile memories. Many of us still do that. However, some of us bring our computers and digitally scrap. Some of us sort and edit pictures for 16 hours. Others bring knitting and sewing/quilting - heck, you can even bring your sewing machine - needlework, jewelry making... if it's something you're willing to travel with, bring it! This is the perfect time to work on those UFOs (un-finished objects), WIPs (works in progress), or finally start on the project you’ve been meaning to start for the last few months, or maybe years!
If we are really honest, there are those who mainly come for the sole purpose of spending a day out with other crafters, talking and eating...or perhaps staring blankly at a spot on the table, relishing in the quiet. Whatever your reason, we're glad you're here.
Oh...and by the way...you don't have to be a member of St. Charles to come; in fact, a great deal of attendees come just because we are a good group of crafters who know how to have a fun and relaxing day.

Our mission is simple: Create to Create. Create projects. Create memories. Create friendships. Create fun. In the process, we create a stronger faith community at St. Charles Borromeo by supporting programs and projects with the funds we raise.
All proceeds from the weekend, including funds made from the silent auction, raffle, and split-the-winnings go directly back to support the St. Charles Borromeo Parish Community by helping to offset the cost of our St. Charles Borromeo Banquet held every November. It's a win-win.

What do I need to bring?
Please bring any materials/tools required for the crafts you plan to work on - we do not have tools/supplies to loan out beyond the generosity of your fellow crafters. You may also want to bring craft lamps, your favorite chair, or anything else that will make it more enjoyable for you to work!
If you need electricity please bring a long extension cord, power strip, and painter's tape.
Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day, but you are welcome to bring your own snacks/drinks. A refrigerator/freezer will be available to store food and a microwave will be available to use. An optional lunch and dinner are available to purchase.
We unfortunately do not have control over the AC unit, so you may want to bring a sweater and/or blanket if you tend to get cold!
Finally, bring a friend! Make it a friend-date or a chance to work with an accountability partner.
How does machine rental work?
Receive full-day access to all four machines with your registration: Cricut, AccuQuilt, Cutterpillar Light Table, and Steamfast Steam Press. Cricut users may bring their own laptop or use the Cricut app to connect to the machine via Bluetooth. There will be select AccuQuilt dies available to use, or you may bring your own as long as they fit the AccuQuilt Go! machine. Renters must bring their own vinly, paper, fabric, etc.
Can I leave and come back throughout the day?
Once your registration is confirmed and paid for, your spot is reserved. You are welcome to come and go anytime throughout the day, and you may leave your materials at your table while you come and go. No one can take your table once you have claimed it. Some people stay for the whole 12 hours, some come later in the day or leave earlier in the day depending on their availability.
Can I pay at the door?
At this time we can only accommodate Croppers & Crafters who register and pay by October 8, 2024. If you would like to purchase lunch and/or dinner, please pay by October 8, 2024.
What mobility accommodations does the event space have?
There are no stairs required to access the event space or the restrooms; there is one curb with a ramp. The door we use to enter the building for the event and the doors to the restrooms are not automatic; if anyone needs help with holding doors open for loading in supplies or going to the restroom, we are happy to help! If you need further accommodations such as access to the automatic doors for entering the building, etc. please let us know by emailing us at scbcropcrew@gmail.com.
Cancellation Policy:
Registrants must cancel by Friday, October 4, 2024 to receive a full refund. Refunds will not be issued after this date.

Crop Crew Volunteers Needed!
The Crop Crew is in need of volunteers to help with planning & hosting our upcoming Crop & Craft events.
For those who are unfamiliar with the event, Crop & Craft is a retreat for crafters to come work on their own craft projects in the SCB gym while hanging out with friends.
Being a crafter is not a requirement to volunteer!
We are specifically looking for help in the following areas:
Hosting/Emceeing during events (ideally in shifts)
Set-up on Thursday afternoon or evening/Tear-Down on Saturday night
Advertising (social media, parish bulletins/fliers, etc.)
Food Prep/Serving before and during event
Acquiring Donations (monetary and raffle prizes)
Vendor Coordinator
The time commitment is approximately 1 or 2 one-hour planning meetings prior to each event plus taking shifts hosting/serving during the actual events. You do not have to commit to all four events - we'll take whatever help you are able to give!
2025 Events Friday & Saturday:
January 31 & February 1
April 25 & 26
August 8 & 9
October 3 & 4
Each day is 9am-10pm, plus set-up the Thursday before (usually just a couple hours max)
If you would like to help or would like more information, please email scbcropcrew@gmail.com Thank you!
